Marriage was never meant to be easy, but no one knew it could be this hard.
And now singles searching for their happily ever after have placed their trust in marriage, tying the knot with a complete stranger in the name of love.
But sneak peaks at the upcoming season of Married At First Sight Australia show sticking together 'for better or worse' is easier said than done.
Previews for Channel Nine's controversial show reveal one 'runaway bride' might not even make it to the altar as she legs it in her wedding gown away from the ceremony.
Another can be heard gasping in horror as her gold wedding ring falls into the toilet.
In a teaser for season four it is revealed one bride might not even make it to the altar.
Dressed in her gown, her stilettos swapped for sneakers, a mystery bride is pictured running through the streets.
Carrying the hem of her marieprom dress in her hands the show asks: 'Who is the runaway bride?'
'I feel like I want to escape right now,' one of the brides can be heard saying in the background.
As footage of different brides bracing to tie the knot flood the screen, different voices can be heard saying: 'It's not what I thought' and 'Can I turn back now?'
This season will see 20 singles marry a complete stranger, and it seems the the high pressure situation may have got the better of some.
In another season preview one bride is shown getting ready for her big day when disaster strikes.
The bride's gold wedding ring falls in the toilet, but whether it is accidental or deliberately thrown is anyone's guess.
'The wedding ring! That's a bad sign,' someone can be heard saying, as the ring sits on the bottom of the bowl.
Married At First Sight Australia will return to the small screen on Channel Nine on January 30.
